Northwest of Varaždin (15 km) along the main road Varaždin – Maribor, near 2 permanent
border crossings for international traffic (Dubrava Križovljanska 9 km and Virje Island 7.5
km) and only 85 km from Zagreb (Jankomir), there is this impressive 17th century chateau.
This is a four-winged building with a usable area of 2,000 m² (without basement and attic).
It was originally built in the shape of the letter L, and later two more wings were added (one
each on the east and northwest sides), so that the castle has a quadrangular layout, with an
atrium.
The land plot is huge: about 6 hectares (60 000 m2).
The chateau consists of a basement (in one part), a ground floor, a first floor and a high attic.
The chateau has over 20 large bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, several toilets, a large dining room
(approx. 150 m²), kitchen, boiler room and a number of other ancillary rooms.
